She says she needed to see whether he would run, and he did not. Her brother, Lord Vale, has an army two days from the walls, and once it arrives she will open the north gate and the castle will fall. He calls her insane. Riders then show up on the north road, two days early, and she tells him to choose now between his father’s side and hers, adding that she can give him something he has wanted for a long time.

Father or queen: the choice the free pair sets up

The first two episodes deliver the twist and the ultimatum, so the paid ones are left with one open question: whose side will he take? The premise describes her as a spy, and in episode 2 she confirms it to his face. Her offer of what he has wanted is what keeps him in the room. The prince, the queen and House Vale

Narrating, the prince remains unnamed. So does the queen, although she gives her house, Vale, and her brother, Lord Vale.
