Over 400 years, she says, kings, generals and a bishop have all asked for gold, and he wants her to finish his shift. She is about to put an offer to him, and that is where the episode ends.

Episode 2: a price he says he does not have

A negotiation makes up the second Candy Shorts episode. Anything is his, says the genie, any amount, any time, as long as the lamp is in his hands, and she does mean anything. He keeps repeating that he is fine. Very well, she says, and becomes plainer: name a woman, anywhere, and she will stand at his door within the hour. Her record for finding a man’s price is perfect, she boasts. Perhaps he has none, he says, and she insists every man does. Then he concedes that he does, and when she tells him to name her, he names the genie herself. Her question ends the episode: “So is this what you wish for?”

A billionaire’s lamp and a wife at the door

In the series setup the lamp sits in a billionaire’s safe, and a witness arrives: the billionaire’s wife walks in and sees what the handyman is holding. The setup also states the engine outright, because the more he refuses, the more the genie wants a yes. Episode 2 already runs on it. A handyman, a genie and a woman with a deadline

The subtitles give none of them a name. One is the handyman, and the woman who orders the cleaning is known by her husband’s schedule, not by a name. In the setup the lamp’s occupant is a jinniyah, the feminine form of a genie.
