Episode 1 of The Gods Gave Me My Father’s Wife on Candy Shorts: a queen and an oracle

Our free Candy.ai account played it with the subtitles on, and the opening lines arrive before any introduction: a plea not to stop, and an objection that she is his father’s wife. Then the court scene begins. The king presents his wife, Lysandra, to his son as his queen. Someone remarks that she is the woman from his dreams, and the king is glad the two will get along. An oracle breaks in to declare that an ancient prophecy has started to unfold: the king has let a serpent into his marriage bed, and what follows is the end of his kingdom. The king dismisses it as nonsense and has guards remove her. The prince asks himself whether the oracle meant Lysandra and him. A brief exchange answers it, since both admit to dreaming the same thing and liking it. The episode closes on an instruction to do as the gods have asked and take his father’s wife.

Episode 2: Aphrodite’s missing half

Episode 2 provides the mythology. The conversation starts with dreams: in the queen’s, he addresses her as Mother, and the question of why they appear in each other’s dreams is raised. The answer comes as a speech. Aphrodite, goddess of love, pleasure and beauty, has visited the queen and told her about her destiny. Next the oracle’s warning receives its missing piece. The oracle told King Evian only half of the prophecy, and the other half says the king’s son will enter the royal bed, take the queen and inherit the crown. The prince charges her with marrying his father to get to him, and she replies that she wanted to learn whether the man from her visions was real. The gods have shut the two in together. The final line proposes giving the gods the show they came to watch.

A prince, a queen and a crown on offer

The setup extends well beyond the free pair. Shared visions draw the two into an affair until they are discovered and banished, and then the king, the husband she disappointed, offers both his wife and his crown. That arc sits in the paid episodes of Candy AI Shorts, which we did not watch.

Lysandra, King Evian and a prince without a name

The dialogue names Lysandra and King Evian, and Aphrodite is named as the goddess who visits. The series setup calls the prince Theron, but the free pair never says it aloud. An oracle and the king’s guards round out the court. Every member of the cast is an adult in a fantasy story, played by generated characters with no creator twin.

Dream logic at level 4
