Episode 1: a hill, a colonel and a punishment order

Diana Demont as terrifying and admits, almost in the same sentence, that he cannot take his eyes off her. The commanding officer means to teach both troublemakers that fooling around in her unit has a cost: one gets sent up the hill at a run, she says out loud that she hopes someone skipped dinner, and she tells the narrator bluntly that he now belongs to her.

Next a colonel is announced, the platoon snaps to attention, and the recruit wonders if the sergeant is the colonel’s sister or his wife. After the platoon is dismissed, she tells him to wipe the smirk off his face and come to her office for punishment. He replies, to himself, that he will accept whatever she hands out.

Scrubbing the CO’s floor

He shows up, and a grudging “Good” is his reward, because the sergeant has no patience for chasing cowards. Housework is the punishment: the swamp has been dragged across her office, and he must scrub the floor on his knees while she goes to shower, with orders to be done before she comes out.

What comes next is played as a comedy of nerves. Something happens that he knows he should not watch, and his whispered narration turns into a loop: “don’t look, this is not happening, she must know I can see her.” Then she calls him in, tells him to stop pretending to clean and says it is an order. Busted. A promised surprise from her closes the episode.

A colonel’s wife and 25 more episodes

The setup fills in the remainder: a commanding officer whom the base treats as untouchable, a husband with higher rank, and a recruit learning who is behind the stripes.
