24 series is not 24 videos

Every complaint about Candy AI Shorts eventually arrives at the same place: the catalogue is small. It is. Twenty-four series is not a library, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. But the number is almost always compared against the wrong thing, and once the unit is right the conclusion moves.

The number

24 series were live in the grid when we counted, on 10 September 2026, plus one that still answers at its own address without appearing in the catalogue view. Every tab, infinite scroll run to the end. That is the whole inventory.

It is also a floor rather than a fixed figure, in both directions: new series arrive, and existing ones leave the grid quietly — we found one that had already done exactly that.

The comparison people make

The instinct is to hold 24 up against a tube site, where the count is in the tens of thousands, and conclude there is nothing here. The instinct is understandable and the comparison is broken, because the two numbers are counting different objects.

On a clip site, one entry is one video. Here, one entry is a series: a premise, a cast, numbered episodes watched in order, extended over time as new ones are produced. The pink New Episodes flag on a card is not decoration — it marks a series that has grown since you last looked.

So 24 series is a much larger body of watching than 24 videos, by a multiple nobody can state precisely because the product does not show episode counts on the cards. That omission is a genuine fault and we have said so in the review: the one number that would settle the question is the one the interface withholds.

What actually limits you

Not the total. What limits you is how many of the 24 you personally want to watch.

There are thirteen category filters above the grid. Apply the one or two that match what you came for and the catalogue stops being twenty-four and becomes a handful. That is the real size of it, and it is the number people are reacting to when they say it feels thin — correctly, just not for the reason they give.

The honest version, which we would rather say than have you discover: if you watch steadily, you will reach the end of what interests you, and then you are waiting for new episodes rather than browsing. That is a different mode of use — closer to following a show than to opening a library — and whether it suits you is worth deciding before you commit to twelve months.

Judging it before you pay

This part the platform gets right. Browsing is completely open: every card, title, badge and premise is visible without a subscription, and much of it without an account at all. You can apply your filters and count your own handful before paying anything.

Most series also play episode one free, though not all of them do and nothing on the card tells you which is which — where exactly the line falls is its own page. Between the two, you can answer the only question that matters — are there enough series here that I want to watch — for nothing.

On price, the same logic applies to the plan you pick. At €3.99 a month on the annual plan a small catalogue is easy to forgive; at the monthly rate it is a lot less forgiving. Take the monthly plan first even though it costs more, find out whether you actually watch it, and move to the year once you know.
