Correction: those Candy Shorts series do exist

On 10 September we published a check on the four Candy Shorts titles that show up most often in the searches reaching this site. We reported that three of the four did not exist.

That was wrong. All four are real, and were real when we checked. We looked for them the wrong way. This is the correction, and the reason it happened is worth more than the correction itself, because anyone searching for these titles is hitting the same wall.

The correction

Re-checked on 30 September 2026, by loading the catalogue grid in full and matching on titles rather than guessing addresses:

Where the four titles are

• Mona’s Worst Enemy — the most searched of the four, and one of the longest series on the platform at fifteen episodes. It is filed under the character’s name, Mona Newman, not the title.
• Caught Between Sisters — also fifteen episodes, filed under Emilia Vermont.
• Stepsister Summer — five episodes, filed under Brooklyn Ashford. Often searched as “Stepsis Summer”. It is a different series from Your New Stepsister, which also exists and is filed under a third name again.
• Roxy’s Wet Weekend — five episodes. This one we got half right: it was genuinely missing from the browsable grid in early September. It is back in it now.

The mistake we made

We checked by constructing addresses from titles. Mona’s Worst Enemy became mona-s-worst-enemy, that address returned nothing, and we recorded the series as absent. We repeated the pattern four times and got three false negatives.

It is a bad method and it failed in the way bad methods do: quietly, and with a confident answer. A search for the title inside the catalogue would have found all three in under a minute. We have changed the note at the top of our catalogue file so the next person — quite possibly us — does not repeat it.

The reason we are writing this up rather than editing the old page quietly is that the original claim is the sort this site exists to make. A page that tells you a series does not exist has to be right, or it is worse than no page.

Why the catalogue hides titles

The platform files a large share of its series under the lead character’s name rather than the title on the card. So the series you see called Caught Between Sisters lives at an address bearing a person’s name, and nothing on screen tells you that.

That is fine inside the product, where you click a card. It breaks the moment anyone tries to reach a series from outside — a search engine, a link in a forum, a recommendation from a friend. It is also why so many pages elsewhere on the web confidently list these titles as missing, removed, or fake.

There is a second layer, and it caught us out a second time. Five of the original 24 are no longer on the candyshorts.com grid — but they have not been removed. They carry the platform’s Spicy tag, and that grid does not show Spicy series at all. They are still there, inside candy.ai, under a tag you have to know about.

So a series can be absent from the place you are looking and present in the product, which is the same lesson as the character-name problem wearing a different hat. The catalogue also moves fast — 24 to 108 in twelve days, 120 by 30 September 2026 — and both points get their own article.

How to find any series

There is no search box in the product. Given that, the reliable route is:

1. Open the catalogue grid and let it load to the end — it is long now.
2. Use your browser’s own find-on-page for the title. That beats guessing an address.
3. If it is not there, try the character’s name instead of the title. Half the newer entries are filed that way.
4. If it is still not there, it may genuinely have gone. Nothing announces a removal, and there is no archive.

What has not changed is the part about leaked copies: if a title has left the catalogue, the pages offering it as a download are not distributing official material, and that is a subject of its own.
