A heated moment supplies the first lines: a man calls her Mrs. Hollis, reminds her that she is married and asks after her husband. At the moment, she replies, she does not care about him. After that come the arrival, a welcome for Mr. and Mrs. Hollis and a line saying that tonight she is not leaving the room. Then: “I’m sorry, I have to take this.” Her husband says it is an investor call and could last a couple of hours. Piper tells him to stay on as long as he needs, because she will find something to do. She admits that she married James for his money, that he has no time for her and that she sees no reason not to take what she wants. A request closes the episode: “Could you help me with my sunscreen? I can’t reach my back.”

Episode 2: good hands and a risk to his job

A question opens the second episode: “Is this okay?” Piper says he is better at this than her husband, and he tells her she should not say that. Don’t stop, she says, and he replies that he is not stopping. He says he should get back to work, Mrs. Hollis, and she corrects him: it is Piper, and work can wait since her husband is on a call anyway. He fears that someone will see them. She tells him to stop looking so guilty and asks whether he wants to go inside, just for a minute. Yes, he does, he says, and he warns that she will get him fired. Her answer, and her reason, make up the last line: her husband has no time for her.

A honeymoon with an empty chair

A bored, neglected newlywed who resolves to do something about it is the setup, and the free pair shows her resolution carried out. What it adds is risk. Since the man is staff, every hesitation in episode 2 concerns a job, while Piper has the edge of a husband busy elsewhere. The captions leave him unnamed.
