Roxy's Wet Weekend

Our take

Worth knowing for a reason that has nothing to do with the series itself: it spent a stretch resolving at its own address while missing from the browsable grid, which is how we first learned that a catalogue count is a floor and not an inventory. As a watch it is the shortest commitment available and the least ambitious — a weekend, a house, and no attempt to be more than that. Reasonable as a first sample if you want to know quickly whether the format holds you at all.

What the free episodes tell you

Two of five free, forty per cent of the run before anything is asked of you. With a single weekend as the frame, those two cover the setup and the first turn — a fair share of a short thing.

Where it sits in the catalogue

One of the four titles people search by name. It is also the series that taught us the browsable grid is not the inventory: for a stretch it answered at its own address while missing from the grid entirely.

Who it is for

For someone who wants the shortest commitment available: one location, one weekend, five episodes. Not for anyone after an arc.

How to find it

There is no search box on the platform. Open the Shorts grid, let it load to the end, and use your browser’s find-on-page. Roxy's Wet Weekend is filed as roxy-s-wet-weekend. If it is not in the grid, that does not settle the matter: the grid and the catalogue are not the same thing, and nothing announces a series leaving either.

Filed under its own title, so the name works. Worth knowing that this is the series that once answered at its own address while missing from the browsable grid — absence from the grid is not proof of anything.
