Saying so matters, because those reviews are where the uncomfortable details live: the plan that costs $15 while displaying $12, the discount badge whose arithmetic does not work, the character count off by an order of magnitude. A comparison that hid its sources would be asking you to trust exactly the kind of claim it is correcting.
